And a Gold!

Then in September I was immensely proud to be awarded a Gold for this image of Lorna. I am particularly pleased that Lorna gave me my first gold not only because she was a beautiful bride but also because she recently encouraged me to set up my Facebook Group and has been a help and inspiration in promoting my work. Thanks, Lorna – you’re a star.

I am a member of the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers SWPP, and this year I finally plucked up the courage to start entering some of my images in the society’s monthly image competitions. There are 3 categories for wedding photos – Traditional, Contemporary and Bridal Portraiture – and one entry is allowed in each category every month. Images are classified as Gold, Silver, Bronze or Unclassified.

I entered for the first time in August and was utterly amazed and thrilled when all 3 of my images were classified Silver. All 3 brides were delightful to photograph!
