Unfortunately, the heavy snow kept a fair few people away from our first meeting at the Frontline Centre in Wavertree, Liverpool – the home of Frontline Trust, the charity I work for as the Finance Manager.
9 members did manage to get there, however, which was a great start. We each took along a print to be ‘critiqued’ by everybody else, which was fun, occasionally uncomfortable, and very helpful. Certainly a start which suggests a promising future for the group.
Most of us are looking to build a network of friends & colleagues who can help each other, provide cover in emergency and offer mutual support, encouragement and challenge. Plus the chance of some formal training or practical sessions. The next meeting is likely to be a practical one, with the chance to try out off-camera flash techniques. If you are a photographer and that topic is of interest, do get in touch!
